Activities
Social interaction is important for people of any age and is an area that can be overlooked in contributing to a person’s well-being. Being involved in social activities with their peers can be challenging for some seniors who can be inclined to stay home, or just don’t have the option to leave often if they do not drive anymore. At The Holiday we try to facilitate the path for our residents to socialize, make friends and to enjoy themselves through our many activities.
The Holiday has two spacious recreation rooms where activities are held. Our entertainment director plans fun daily activities that your parents are welcomed to participate in. Below are a few of the activities that we have on a regular basis.
- Bingo
- Movies
- Exercise
- Ice cream socials
- Birthday parties
- Slide shows
- Holiday related activities (Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.)
There is also THE HOLIDAY NEWS; our very own community newsletter provided seasonally you up to date on current events, holidays, and birthdays. It also contains interesting stories, poems, and even jokes to help put a smile on your face.
